Dennysville, Maine is located in Washington County Maine, called the Sunrise County because it is in the northeastern most section of the state. In summer, the sun rises around 4 am. Dennysville, with a population around 300 residents, has that small village feel, but is close enough to quickly journey to many exciting and interesting places.
- 30 minutes to Campobello Island, Wilson's Beach, the Roosevelt Cottage, East Quoddy Lighthouse, boating and whale watching available
- 30 minutes to Canadian border and border towns of St Stephens, NB (check out the candy factory there) & to Calais, Maine for shopping and the laundromat
- 20 minutes to Passamaquoddy Indian Reservation and Museum (between Pembroke, ME & Eastport, ME)
- 25 minutes to Lubec, Maine where West Quoddy Lighthouse, Quoddy Head State Park and Hiking Trails,
- 10 minutes to Pembroke, Maine, go another 10 minutes to the coast and you find Reversing Falls (a great place for fossil hunting)
- Major grocery shopping is 25 to 30 minutes away, but you can get fresh eggs at the farm down the road (3 minutes), fresh fish in Dennysville (5 minutes), fresh local crab down the road (5 minutes), a convenience store with canned goods, some fresh produce, milk, juice, the newspaper, and some paper products (only 10 minutes away).
- 30 minutes to Machias for a small health food store and 2 hrs to Ellsworth for a large, complete health food store (in the way in from the Bangor airport)
